Eidur Gudjohnsen Is Smart
By: Ale | April 20th, 2008
“Eidur Gudjohnsen has warned his Barcelona team-mates that Paul Scholes will be more of a threat than Cristiano Ronaldo in their UEFA Champions League semi-final clash.”
I couldn’t have put it better myse - wait, wait, what?
Today in an interview with Sky Sports, Gudjohnsen claimed that the upcoming Champions League clash between United and Barça would not be decided by the the young superstars of each team, but by the ‘old heads’ as he called them, such as Scholes, Giggs, and Deco.
Which makes total sense.
Just a little reminder:
Ronaldo: 38 goals, 7 assists
Scholes: 01 goals, 3 assists
If that’s still a bit hard for him to understand, I’ve also created a simple diagram he can print out and tape to his seat on the bench locker.

I LOVE the leading zero on Scholes’ goal count. Really drives it home, like the 0 stands for “0nly 1 goal”.

Goddamn that looks a lot like the John Arne Riise goal from the first leg of the quarterfinals last year in your picture…I know you beat the shit out Liverpool this year, but you don’t have to steal all our thunder…

I’m pretty sure after Scholes played 90 minutes over the weekend that he wont even be featuring on wednesday.
