Poll, Who Was The Best Player Last Night?
By: Ale | April 24th, 2008I know who it certainly wasn’t. I’m going with Ferdinand… without him United surely would have had at least one in the back of their net.
Messi: 3
Ferdinand: 3
Patrice Evra: 1
Deco: 1
Abidal: 2
Ronaldo: 1
Other (specify):

haha Artan, please keep that in that post’s comments?
Yes, Ronny was practically invisible last night. I never said he wasn’t. And I have never said anything along the lines of ‘Forza Cristiano.’
Besides, the Roma discussion doesn’t even have that much to do with Ronaldo… but please, if you’d like to discuss it, let’s do so in that topic

this is not about the best player last night but in general i think messi is much better than ronaldo even for ronny’s 38 goals this season.reason i think this because messi’s game and tricks actually lead to something.ronny does all the tricks but fails to follow them with a neat pass..now im a manu fan and still saying this but that was my observation last night!!

Ferdinand was United’s best player for sure. Going forward they looked uneasy. Tevez never saw the ball, Ronaldo ran around alot but came to nothing except the odd dive, Rooney didn’t do much. Going back Scholes did a surprisingly good job in a more defensive position, Carrick had one good moment, Park didn’t get going, Hargreaves looked out of position, Evra was undone once or twice but was ok, Brown made that last ditch tackle on Eto’o and played ok, Van Der Saar was good when he needed to be (Henry shot)
For Barca, I think Iniesta bossed the midfield. Deco was ok but looked like he was coming back from injury, Messi started well but became a little predictable, Eto’o never got in it, Yaya Toure played well but was never challeneged by Rooney, Xavi was ok never special, Abidal and Zambrotta both had good games, the back two conceeded a few free kicks – and an unfortunate pen – between them, but otherwise didn’t look two troubled. Valdes? was he playing?
So, One of Iniesta, Abidal, Zambrotta, Yaya Toure and Ferdinand.
Might as well chuck it at Abidal I guess.

I mean, CR missed a penalty. OK.
Who got it in the first place?
Where did danger came from in most of the times from ManUtd (OK, they played a bit poorley yesterday, but it’s understandable, because Barça isn’t just any team, nor is it to play in Noucamp the same as in, say, Rome), who was also fouled another time in the box,
and who got knocked down most of the times?Ah, sorry, I forgot… CR is never throwned down. He just dives and whines, etc…
Get a life you all…

pedro its about time you got it..
ronaldo is nothing but a diving wanker who happens to ballet at the same time; and we all saw his talent showcased on the world stage last night.
he tried praying to God for help, but heck; even God hates ronaldo.

Pedro, you may as well save your breath because with these guys CR could play the game of his life and make one mistake and all they will harp on is the error.
If they understood anything about football, they’d have seen that Sir Alex was playing a defensive holding system for a 0-0 draw and hope for an away goal. And it almost worked.
Rooney, even though not 100% was playing mostly back helping the defense. CR and Messi were the 2 most offensive players on the pitch by a long shot.
Let them yap all they want. Next Wednesday CR will shut all their yaps. But of course they will find something else to bitch about. Oh he was showing off, he complains too much, etc etc.
Learn a little about the game!Posted from

I know Ceasar. I just like to nagg them… Keeps them talking bout CR. Anyway, if they really thought CR was shit they wouldn’t even bother…
Lola, Messi and Evra were spotted commenting about hairstyles… Messi was saying he’s getting fed up of his, but feels insecure as to what he should do… You see, he doesn’t want to look like CR but he knows he’ll never look like Caniggia or Batistuta. I understand his predicament… I only hope Totti doesn’t jump in for the rescue… Then the boy is in real trouble…
Shehan, God hates CR…? HMM…? Mourinho never said he hates CR. You’re bullshiting me, man…

I think it was either Ferdinand or VDS.
I don’t think any Barcelona player should get MOM because they really had to score and although they had lots (and I do mean LOTS) of possession they did absolutely nothing with it, so in the end Man Utd’s defenders defenders were the real performers last night. They were absolutely fantastic.
I can’t wait for the second leg.
