Dip in form?
By: Paul | January 6th, 2009I’m reading a piece that The Times Online did a few days ago (sorry old news, but I’m a new blogger) that discusses the recent dip in form that the golden boy was been going through in the last couple weeks.
The Times provided all kinds of cool stats that I only wish I could compile watching the game. For one, Cristiano is playing more on the wing this season compared to last which would mean more crosses and less goals. He is averaging almost a cross and a half a game compared to last season but is completing 8% less than last season. Of all these nifty stats the only one that alarms me is his chance conversion is down 6%, the thing that made last year so special was it seemed like every chance on goal he converted it.
I’m hoping his vacation in Portugal can relax him and help him to get back to enjoying the game and scoring goals. I would post pics but frankly I’ve had enough of google imaging Cristiano and sifting through 90% shirtless pics.
