A hefty raise in the near future?

With multiple sources reporting that Manchester United lining up to offer Ronaldo a £200,000 a week and Real Madrid’s elections set for July 5th this could be a pretty volatile next couple of months coming up.

If the reports of the contract are indeed true, and Ronaldo does indeed sign the contract and then let’s say a year down the road he pops off at the mouth again about his admiration for Madrid then it’s game over for his relationship with the club and the fans.

I didn’t get to see the Carling Cup final vs Tottenham but after seeing the highlights of Ronaldo diving getting fouled in the box by Ledley King and being booked for it (nice job Foy) and striking the post in extra time, it seemed like he had a pretty active game, playing all 120 minute and scoring in the shoot out.

Next up in about 3 hours is a trip to St. James Park to take on Newcastle, I’m not sure what Sir Alex’s plans are for today, although Rooney, Berbatov, Carrick and Park are back in the squad I have a suspicion that we won’t see Ronaldo for a full 90 today with important games vs Milan and Liverpool on the horizon.

In the words of the special one, SHUT UP MODRIC
